Ruslana Lichtzier is a Chicago based artist, writer, curator and educator. Born in Russia and raised in Israel, she received a BFA from Bezalel, Academy for Fine Art and Design, Jerusalem, and an MA in Visual and Critical Studies from The School of The Art Institute, Chicago. Her background is a principal force in shaping a cultural practice focused on creating new artistic, politically charged products under a persistent reconsideration of the hegemonic canons. She is an instructor at SAIC and a Curatorial Fellow at Artists Cooperative Residency and Exhibitions (ACRE), Chicago, where she recently developed two group exhibitions. She is also at work on an independent project titled “Terrorists In The Library”.
