Frida Carazzato & Maria Garzia

Frida Carazzato lives and works in Bolzano, Italy. She is assistant curator of the Museion – Museum for Modern and Contemporary art, Bolzano.

She studied philosophy at the University of Padova, Italy, and attended the International Curatorial Program, the 17th Edition, at the Ecole du Magasin in Grenoble, France. She curated with Maria Garzia the e-flux video rental, a project by Julieta Aranda and Anton Vidokle, at the Fondazione Giuliani per l’arte contemporanea, Rome (May, 2010). Together with Maria Garzia, she is the author of the publication “Pratiques et expériences curatoriales italiennes,” Interviews with ten Italian curators; edited Les presses du réel, Paris.

Maria Garzia is a free-lance curator and art historian based in Rome. She studied contemporary art at the “La Sapienza” University in Rome and attended the International Curatorial Program, the 17th Edition, at the Ecole du Magasin in Grenoble, France.

She collaborates with the Fondazioni Giuliani in Rome for exhibition productions while managing other independent projects.

She curated the presentation of the e-flux video rental in Rome, a project by Julieta Aranda and Anton Vidokle (May 2010), for which she organised some video-screening programmes. In addition, she is the author, together with Frida Carazzato, of the book “Pratiques et experiences curatoriales italiannes”, edited by Le Presse du réel, Paris.
