Aneta Stojnic & Nikola Dedic

Aneta Stojnić was born in Belgrade (Yugoslavia) in 1981. Artist, theorist and cultural worker. Active in the field of performance and new media arts, including cyber performance, lecture performance and contemporary theatre. Also engaged in theoretical research in the respective fields, she introduces interdisciplinary and multimedia approach in all the aspects of her work. Author of a number of articles, critical reviews and essays on contemporary art and media, published in Serbia, Slovenia and Austria. Currently a PhD candidate at University of Arts in Belgrade, working on a thesis: “Critical Theory of Performance in Digital Art: Towards the New Political Performance.” Artist in Residence in TanzQuartier Vienna in 2011, KulturKontakt writer in residence in 2012.

She has worked with institutions and organizations such as: Tanzquartier Wien (Austria), Odin Teatret (Denmark), Dansens Hus Stockholm, BITEF Theatre (Serbia), National Theatre in Belgrade, Ravenna Festival (Italy), Hamlet Summer Festival (Denmark), Ohrid Summer Festival, Biennal of Young Artists from Europe and Mediterranean (BJCEM), Atelje 212 (Belgrade), TkH Walking Theory, SKC (Belgrade), Kontekst Gallery (Belgrade), October Salon (Belgrade) and many others.

Nikola Dedić works as an assistant professor at University of Niš, a lecturer at University of Arts in Belgrade, Theory of Arts and Media group. He has had the following books published: Utopian Spaces of Art and Theory after 1960 (Belgrade, 2009), Towards a Radical Criticism of Ideology: form Socialism to Postsocialisam (Belgrade and Novi Sad, 2009), Lower than Human: Srdjan Djile Markovic and Underground Figuration (Belgrade, 2011), Picture in the Time of New Media: Dragomir Ugren (Zrenjanin, Niš), The Triumph of Modern Art, Mapping the Discontinuities of Obsessions, Pleasure, Possession, Phantasy and Subversion within Material Artistic Practices in Serbia during 20th century (co-author, Belgrade 2010). He was abraded "Lazar Trifunovic" in 2010 for critical writing on visual art.
