In his Tracklist Paintings Nicolas Jasmin takes up titles of songs and the names of the interpreting music groups, which he regroups in different arrangements to convey new textual formations. The works on the text boards resemble short poems in the tradition of the Japanese Haiku style, but can also be linked to the work of the Vienna Group, operating like manuals or to-do lists. In the presented case, Jasmin combines a title by Claro Intelecto with one by The Talking Heads, juxtaposing city structures with Lacanian thinking. In a metaphorical way, Jasmin also relates to the exhibition concept and its contextual takes, which can be seen in connection to the names of the music groups.
